looking good Dee, I still keep looking for Boo in your pics though
Boo is all but retired, I'm tired of sewing her up.
I still use her occasionally, but try to keep her out of the heat as much as I can, she'll be 10 on September 1st. She has slowed down a bit, but she still takes on hogs she shouldn't and will stay with a runner until it stops.
I had a man try to buy her from me last month, I told him she was too old to sell and she was family, he still said, "put a price on her." I had to turn it down, she's my girl.
And Faith is 9 months old. Normally, I'd start them earlier than that, but in her case, I decided to wait and give her more time, especially with this heat. I don't have easy access to a bay pen so taking them to the woods is my only option. I'd prefer introducing a pup to hog in a pen, but for now, it's the real deal. I only turned her out on that one because it was in the water and it wasn't the best hog for her first as she really couldn't see it and wasn't sure what it was, but at least she barked and showed some interest.
I'm looking forward to some cooler weather........
