$330,000 dollars for one dog good price?

Sounds perfectly fair to me. The cop had no right whatsoever to shoot the dog if it was in someones home. Not even if it was biting him. If someone busted into my house like they were in charge I would hope my dogs would eat their @$$ up. And if they thought for a second they could shoot my dog they'd be lucky if they walked out of my house. I had a dumb@$$ cop come to my house and try to shoot my very best hog dog because it matched the description of a dog that barked at a lady down the road. I asked him what description that might be and they said it was a yellow dog. I put my dog in the house and told him he better put his gun up or call for back-up. There is no grey area when it comes to going on someone elses property and shooting a dog. I don't care if you have a badge or not.
