I feel you on protecting your dogs. I don't know one that is impact resistant. On one of my first hunts a dog was between the hog and a tree. The vest did not get cut but the dog did not make it. I put vests on every dog until then now only collars except catch dogs so they can move faster. I like Wildboar USA / Ugly Dog mostly because they are good people to deal with and they hunt what they make. More protection means less movement and more heat so pick your danger.
Sorry your dogs got tore up and glad they made it. But they are like flack jackets. Saves your life once you get a new one and call it good while you dig the shrapnel out of you rear end.
