I like the southern cross cut gear . I have been hunting with the Micheal from Hard Core Hogs and Dogs DVD's and have never saw a dog cut to shreds through a kevlar vest or collar . I have had the outer 2 layers ripped through a few times but no holes went all the way through . I'm the kind of person that will replace a vest or collar if they show any signs of wear and tear or I will not hunt . I have hunted with a few other people and they allways complained about their dogs getting poked through vest and collars but after I took a good look at what they were using it should have been replaced about 3 years before I ever saw it . So the way I see it no cut gear will last forever and should be replaced at the first signs of wear and tear or about 3 years if you hunt alot or have gritty dogs.
