We went after Spots for the third time this morning. The last two weeks we've jumped and caught a boar off that same feeder, but ol Spots has been hiding from us. They had 100's of game cam pics of him, so we knew he was around. Turned out daylight and came up empty at the feeder. Loaded up and drove around about 800 yards to a pond we jumped a good boar last weekend at. Ol Blue and Hunter headed off in the thicket and Blue opened up a little while later. We watched them on the garmin as they headed out up the creek. They split up and Hunter followed the creek about 900 yards, veered off of it and came bayed. We let him bay for a little while we tried to figure out how to get to him. About that time Jason's buddy Paul, the president of the lease, shows up. Paul knows right where he's at, so we follow him around. Get within a couple hundred yards of the bay and send the young dogs to him. Everything is baying good as we ease in there with the catch dogs. We catch a glimpse of ol Spots and send the bulldogs to him... he sees them coming and breaks. They go about 100 yards,we hear a bay, the bulldogs hit, then a splash right into a pond. I give Paul all my things and go for a swim. Finally got him legged, drug to the bank and tied. We hauled him to the sausage man and he went 250# on the scales.
