If you have an old stihl you might ought to fix it rather than buying a new one. I ran a logging business for some time and went threw three brand new stihl 660's within 6 months. The piston are junk. Now the old 066 was one tuff saw hard to beat an old stihl but my opinion the new ones ain't worth a plug nickel. I still own a saw and miss telling timber, running chokers, bucking a log, skidding too. Something about that giant crash in a silent forest makes you feel good. I run husqvarna saws after I went thru the stihls. The older husqvarna is about the same story as the stihl craftsmanship is losing ground however, they are leaps and bounds ahead of stihl today. Try a Dolmar! It's a German made saw cheaper than both stihl and husqvarna. husqvarna. They are the kind of saw a professional needs and requires.
