how old are the pups ? they could possibly have coccidiosus . i allways treat my dogs with either a product called sulmet wich you put in the water or give orally or cordid same way i like sulmet better less intense on the stomach . i raise chickens also so i begin puppys on a sulmet program about every 2 weeks for a couple three days as soon as they start drinking water  as a preventive . this time of year birds are migrating from god knows where and they bring with them all kinds of crap that your dogs can catch . people over look cocci wich is a killer of young dogs and it is so prevelant all over the usa that a ten dollar bottle of sulmet is a pretty cheap investment in your dog and puppy health program .
