what snatcher said is 100% right, peroxide actually reverses the healing process by killing tissue that is infected, there is some stuff that u can most likely find in any feed store. I get mine from tractor supply its called (cut and heal) or something very close to that, it stinks but it works damn good, anytime i have a dog cut up i apply a good amount of it to the dog before sewing him up and it really helps. just be careful because it burns like hell.......ive gotten it in cuts on my fingers and believe me it feels the same to the dog so make sure someone is holdin em down........good luck and i hope the dog gets better
