Maglites used to last an hour, those bump hard hats look gay and always have to me, best light out there is a higher end night lite with a reostat, if you never had a $150 light you are still in the dark, we used to turn th elight down way low and they would last all night, if somebody got lost they could go up in a tree and aim the light straight up and go to sleep for hours until the truck cameb back around to pick us up, I order the bracket from nite lite and ribet it on a stetson short brimmed hat in the winter or a good cap with pull downs and  snap under the chin, i liked the one that flickered to make the coons show there eyes, plus if your truck break down or gets stuck you can turn the light way way up and work on it with the lite that mounts on the battery as a holder, i also liked the idea that had extra bulbs inside them, they are bult to take abuse, those 2 cells and mag lights break first time they get dropped i used for a while, go to nite lights web site and check them out, i got the $125 dollar one in the truck but cant remember the voltage, used to be 6 but i think this new one is 12 volts, some are like 24 volts but too much money and weight for me, lots of time we left the belt withthe light tied to a tree shinning to the road while we went back to drag the hog out or carry out a cut down dog, they really come in handy, when i was guiding we had one for every hunter and have them in the bunkhouse for lost deer or hog retreives, plus u can charge them in the truck vs those crappy d cellslol
