A well bred kemmer can hunt with the best of them...Any good dog with natural ability does not need much training/exposure but the right amount is best.

I have had a few that were never hunted but were just yard dogs and the first time in the pen they shined like stars and the same in the woods. 3 or 4 hunts and they were striking pretty good.

I would't worry about it but just get a pig when you can or at least every now and then. do not over work him.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
