in the open woods or open land a pack of gritty to rough dogs can keep a bad hog stopped.

In the thick stuff these rough dogs can't stop them because they can't stop what they can not catch up with/to...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
