me personally i've never bought a dog over 6 months old . but i will tell you what i've told every young man i've talked to no trial don't buy period . and if your buying a finished strike dog off of somebody ask them what they don't like about the dog because there will be something in the dog the seller doesn't like or they would keep it for themselves . like i sold my strike dog una to mav i would have never sold her but for the reason as good a dog as she was she had a quiet mouth that i could not hear if she was far out and bayed up .
