Some of the best dogs I have owned had a fragile personality and these dogs didn't need much correction.
Always a mild hand because these dogs could have a major set back if we make a mistake while training or hunting. The right dogs are worth the trouble. This trait can be genetic or can be caused by human error or a combination of both.
Sounds to me this pup is worth the trouble...just keep working and socializing her as often as you can. Just try and keep her anxiety level to a minimum while socializing or working her.
