I then chose 10 minutes.

Now when you are hunting hit map. It shows the dog tracks since the hunt started. Hit map again, it will only show the past 10 minutes of tracking ( in my case). Hit map again, and it won't have any dog tracks. Hit map a 4th time, and all the tracks will back on the screen. And you can dobit all over again. I like that new feature.
