there is rumor, or possibly truth, depending on who you talk to about the pink noses. it is rumored to be caused by breeding to close, basicly inbred. line breeding is a good thing, but when your lines start stacking ontop of each other on the top side and bottom, from what ive read on this forum from others, you get them pink noses. i got the papers on a pup who has a pink nose, and his top and bottom lines are really really tight crossed.
No, I think all that tight breeding is bringing all the snakes out of the woodpile. 
I've never seen any old bloodline of bmc's throw pink noses or bob-tails.
