Chip in shin bone from a neighbors horse back when I was in high school trying to learn to ride bareback (rodeo style) Me and a good friend of mine who used to ride bareback at the local rodeos caught the neighbors unbroke horse and put it in a small padock with a rig and a flank strap. I was doing real good and then he hollared and told me to lean back more. Well when I did, the horses rump and my head met on a good jump. When I hit the ground, the horse came down right on my shin. Never did tell my momma cause she would have whooped me good.

Back/neck injury on a 2yr old that I took in trade on a fence building job. I had her going pretty good and took her out for a ride one day and she twisted off without warning. This little girl could get it on! She threw me up in the air and I came down on the back of my neck with my body curled over top of me. Thought I broke my back but I just really stretched everything. I couldn't move for a few days.OUCH!

Broken wrist on a big Hancock bred 3 yr. gelding that we bought from Wyoming. Also had him going pretty good and I pushed him too hard one day and he threw me and on the way to the ground, my arm went through the cattle pannel around our arena.

So, other than me putting too much trust in young horses, I guess Ive been pretty lucky.  Smiley
