Now that I am at my office, I am able to upload the much anticipated video Evil

First, before I poke fun at someone else, I must fess up to my own dumbass move.   I woke up at 4:30 Saturday morning, saddled my pony, and hit the road. I was 30 minutes down the road before I realized I forgot to load Lizzie Shocked  Here I am going on a dog hunt, with no dogs...   Anyhow, between Mike, Matt, and Travis there were plenty of good/honest hog dogs on the hunt, and I am not sure how much help Mandi's wore out old cur dog would have been.

Back to the hunt.

There is ~ 20k acres in the river bottom, most of which is plowed fields, some irrigated, some dry land. There is a pivot 2 miles from any woods or water, that has a good stand of wheat, and several hundred heifers. If a hog wants to eat, they have to travel some open country to get there.  Seems like the perfect place for a spotlight and Mandi's greyhound, or some stags.

Here's a pic of the welcoming committee

Here's the video. The hog broke bay a couple times, but never ran more than about 20-30 yards before standing his ground again. When he finally stayed bayed, it was on the wrong side of the brush for me to video the bay, but I didn't want to ride around and break the bay again.   You'll see Mike looking in on the brush, and Travis trying to find his way through.  The hog was standing about 6 feet in front of Mike, facing him with the dogs caught.

The hog was kind enough to stop near the fence so we could be easily retrieved.
