Dave,   First Off I don't and won't get in a pissing match over this post with others. There is a lady in Denham Springs that has a proven line of Catahoulas. These dogs have won every baypen championship there is to win. She sells dogs to hunters and they make great woods dogs. She sells dogs for blood trailing and they make excellent blood trailing dogs. She ships dogs to Ranches in the U.S. and Canada and they excel at being cow dogs. These dogs have a lot of Sandhill in their bloodline which is one of the oldest Cat bloodlines in existence today. She started with a few Sandhill dogs as part of her foundation and through the years has line bred and now has her own
line of dogs.  These dogs are very versatile. Litter after litter these dogs have proven themselves at what ever it is their job has turned out to be. Her name is Terri Monaghan. She owns Monaghan Catahoulas. Her number is 225-892-8948. I had a plan similar to yours. I did not want to go through a bunch of dogs to finally get a good one. I have my own line started now off of her dogs and couldn't  be happier with their progress. The pups are eight months old and we are fixing to start hunting them in Feb. Pups I sold from my first litter are already hunting and finding their own hogs.  Are their better Cats out there? I'm sure they are.  I'm just giving you one place to find what your looking for.
