just like everyone one is saying. The dentist will not work on your tooth if you have an infection. The first thing he will do is give antibiotics...and when the swelling/infection is under control he will then pull it or root canal it depending on what the options are and what you are willing to pay.

like already said by others...use antibiotics even from other folks prescriptions that were not used up.

I keep a large bottle of amoxillen around for the dogs or family...I had a friend pick a bottle up for me in mexico...

for right now get an aspirin and crush it into powder and rub it around the tooth...this will kill the pain...My wife used a liquid gel aleve and it worked real well...

The aspirin trick was given to me by an old timer back when I was a young man and it helps until you can see a dentist. stay away from sweets because it seems to me that the sugar aggrevates the pain...

a tooth ache can be unbearable at times...hope you get some relief soon...
