Many people tend to not update there collars and astro handheld which can cause loss communication and loss signal range.. You can refer to www.garmin.com faq's and they will guide u throught the steps of how to update the software on your dc collars and handheld also.  I also run the tuff skin long range antennas and that help a great deal too.
