i use mine mostly after the hog is bayed or if i see it running i turn him loose , or if i see some in a feild , mine will hunt though he will go out about 200 an run around hunting i donno how well he can smell but im sure he could find a hog if it was close , there prey drive is amazing so it kinda hard to get them to not run any little furry things that run lol but i like them they are calm dogs easy to handle an pretty dang tough , i should be having some pups in march from my white male an a white female , the female never been on a hog but she will run a coyote
