Get Ready

China and India are becoming more industrialized and they want 2 car garages like we have and they want air coditioning and all else like we have here in the good ole USA...but the pipe lines aren't getting any bigger and so the supply is shrinking and the demand is growing ... less supply and more demand equals to higher prices as long as someone can still pay them. Used to be that it was all about the USA...If the prices got too high and our economy was starting to falter they imediately dropped the prices because they knew if the US economy went south no one would buy the oil and gas and OPEC just shot theirselves in the foot like they did in the 1970's when they first came up with the idea to unite and control the oil prices. They learned back then that the USA drove the world economy but I just don't think it is that way anymore...we still are a big player in the economy but not as critical to the world economy.My feeling now is that they do not care as much about the US economy because other countries will pay the higher prices so either we cut back elsewhere and pay the higher prices or we need to drill more in the USA and this includes all of North America...

From what I hear we are doing that already...I think that greed or no greed our politicians are starting to see the light...If we want our country to be strong and survive like it has then we need to wean ourselves off of foreign oil...

Also we need to listen to T. Boone Pickens and start to look at natural gas for powering autos and 18 wheelers...not only does it burn cleaner but it is very plentiful in the States...

TexasHogDogs, I do agree that the price of gas will come up at the pump but hopefully the drilling that is taking place now should turn the oil prices down in time...down low enough to where the US economy can still grow or just survive...

But like you said about the oil companies and Refineries...they made record profits when the other companies have been losing money just a few years back when we were scraping along the bottom...

But the other biggy is shutting down businesses in the USA and sending them overseas...that is definitely taking the jobs out of the USA and that my friend is the beginning of the end...if we don't have any jobs we are done...
