wife says... dogs go or i go:(

That is EXACTLY what hapened with my ex wife. Those were back in my ramblin days and I was sitting on the couch with Sam (my black lab) drinking beer. She came in and bowed up by putting her hands on her hips. They are mad when they do that. She tole me "either me or that damn dog is going". I hugged Sam and gave him a drink of beer and told him "Sam, it looks like she is going to leave us boy--we sure are going to miss her".

You talk about hitting a nerve. She left shortly after that and filed for divorce. Little did I know that was the very best thing that ever happened to me in my life. If had of stayed hooked I would either be dead or getting out of prison about now for killing her and her momma.

I have been married to the same woman now for a long time and she is a keeper. We hardly ever have a cross word with each other. However, a long time ago she said she was leaving and going to take half of the bird dogs. That got my attention and we made up.

Life is way too short and if she is willing to leave you over a dog it ain't gonna work anyway.
