yeah what we talkin about is range = how far they will go to FIND a track to run . bottom is how far they will run a hog till bayed . i was just askin cause so many people talk about long range dogs an short range dogs  yada yada yada . was wonderin what everybodys def of the ranges was ect ect. some will call a dog makin 1/2 mile circles lookin then check back in no sign this and some call it that . savy ?

I think this. Range is the distance how far a dog hunts out looking for a hog or hog sign                                        bottom is how long a dog stays with a hog after the dog has jumped him                                              imo

Yep...And alot of the so called "short ranged" dogs are me too dogs or the type that you have to walk them over the top of hogs.
