7.62x39. typical round for the sks and ak. sks rifles are cheap with a good cyclic rate with good punching pwr at close range and out to a couple hundred yds. u can wag them around in the woods, drop them in the mud, sand and rain and they are like the energizer bunny, they just keep firing and firing.
