Depends on the size of the hogs. Six feet will keep most pigs in. I was on one about ten feet high and the went to the top where the hog's body hit but did not make it over. But that pen is used a lot by many people. If I was building one I would go six feet. I have just heard people say pigs can't jump but I know they can of they want to.
