The English pointer has more than enough noise to find a pig. Anydog does! Its weather they know how to use it or not. I just got 9mo old male. The first time in the pen he bayed em up real tight. Put a stag pup in training in with him, when he saw her catch that was all she wrote. now he lugs up and catches another as soon as I leg and flip. All in the pen work so far. He still needs more basic obediance training before Im comfortable taking to the woods with him. I know he wont be the hardest dog I have but with some backup he'll find and catch just fine.
