[Cutter Bay Kennels]

I was at the kennels last night with my daughter who is almost 3 years old.  I found a chick that had hatched but died. Emily asked me what it was when I reached down to pick it up. I told her it was a chick, but he was dead. She looked up at me.  She said "dead like Pistol?".  I said yes. Then she said, " I miss him". Tough pill to swallow right there. She still calls his kennel stall "Pistol's pen".  I love that girl. I aim to find Emily a nice pup soon. I've got my eyes on the prowl.
