good post dub . i have sold many a dog on trail and will never ever do it again . people don't take the time to acclamate a new dog to it;s new invironment , buy it on friday try and hunt it on saturday morning . and then whine like babys because the dog is confused and looking around for me and it's hunting buddy's . then they call and want their money back most times i tell em to bring it back and put them on the no sale list
other times i tell em to wait a couple weeks and let the dog settle in and after a couple weeks all is well and they are happy with the results . now an ol hound will hunt for just about anybody mainly because a hound hunts for it's self but when you start talking cur dogs it's a differant story . got some of my old dogs still here and good a dogs as they are i can garanty they wouldn't hit a lick without me it's been tried several times when i just loaned a couple out to help a guy . most all the complaining and whining is the results of impatience and immaturity in the buyer because they expect way too much in the beginning . any one year old dog is worth a hundred dollars or two if you don't think so keep up with your expenses and time invoved in getting one to that age . a well started dog is more according to age and expeiriance a finished dog well all the money you can get .
