i think i did with the tx comptroller 2 days ago. i got a letter in the mail sayin i owed 169 for taxes not filed in the last 1/4 of last yr. i called them, ask where did the amount came from and he said they just made a number up, taxed it, charged a late fee and then the letter said it was due on the 16th, they mailed the leter out on the 19th and said intrest would acrrue on the 20th, the day i got the letter. he said if i didnt pay, they would seize all my asests, ie: bank acct, hm and land, dogs and so on. i told him they better have a good supply of body bags and then hung the phone up. i get a call from the tx comptroller state trooper asking why i said what i said. i explained what went on, he said he would look into it and said they better have a good supply of body bags. its ok for local, state and federal government to threatn its citizens, but dare not the citizens to threatn back. whats wrong with our government?
