all this could be fixed with 1 simple rule , .... and its in the bible - let them that won't work not eat !
either pull your own weight and help your neighbor when he can't , or get the hell out , or starve ... i don't care which .
So... you're sayin' 97% of Americans would starve under those conditions...
i don't know the % of people not pulling their own weight but if the boot fits use it to kick shcitt . just like culling useless dogs , it's got to be done or you will soon have so many they will eat you out of house and home
you gotta draw the line somewhere - might as well put it where it goes to start with
