Back when I worked cows with my dogs, I have used some bred gyps when I had too. I never hog hunted any after they were bred because I only bred gyps when I needed replacements. I couldn't take a chance on something happening because I never kept or bred that many and was usually cutting it too close as it was. I could not tell any difference in the pups from the ones I did use.
