Bleach the area with  at least 10-1 solution of bleach  a few times then coat the area with diatomatous earth (check spelling) 
 Shots  the mother before shes bred andor shortly after
 pups shot we been using the vanguard plus from the vet and repeat  5-6 weeks then  8 weeks and 11 weeks  the shot should be      givin in 3 week intervals   
 stay to this religeously dont buy into  wait till they are 7-8 weeks old 

 we had parvo a few years back and stick to this routine  and have had not problems
 I pray that the drought and heat burnt the scurge from the ground

this is the reason puppies wont leave here til 12 weeks of age  they have had all the puppy shots other than rabies
