Where color comes in to play is when that was all a dog was bred for.  Lots of folks get hung up on pretty and dont pay enough attention to function.

The blue pitts much like lepord colored dogs get bred a lot because their owners like the way they look, whether they desserve their next meal or not.

When you get a new dog of any kind, get him because of what it or it's parents can do.  Not because it is easy on the eyes.
