its gonna be different for everyone but on the male side you have cost of collecting him and shipping it to you.. On the female side you need to get the progesterone tests so you hit the perfect day for breeding and depending on if you put the semen in yourself or let a vet do it. I would let the vet do it the first time, he was all up in there. Was not pleasant for the female

There is really nothing done that you can't do yourself.  Different strokes for different folks.
