Yes, our dog Red was after a hog one time. It was in warm weather. The chase had lasted for a long time. Same thing, the garmin showed him bayed and we heard him bark a few time and then it went quiet. We headed towards him and every now and then he would bark. It was weird.
We found both him and a little hog laying in the edge of the water in a creek, both panting hard and the only time that he would bark is when the pig would move. LOL As long as the pig lay still, he just layed there with it.
