I have been using the horse wormer (Strongid) that is concentrated in a past for many years on a 2 week old pup...this wormer is very forgiving...
so what are you saying, He would be better off to use the tube of Horse wormer and guess how much he put's on his finger  from a tube dosed for 1250 lbs on a puppy that young over using a Liquid you can measure with a syringe and know what your doseing at made for Puppies ? I use the Horse wormer myself on my older pups and grown dog's and it is forgiving, but saying that it would be very easy and possible for someone to overdose a 2 wk old puppy and the 4 dollar savings is not worth it. As i was told by Colt when i posted about Dexamethasone, you don't know how old and experienced someone is when giving advice when it comes to medicine and doing it yourself without a vet. Not trying to start anything and i mean no disrespect but i do not understand the need to comment with the Horse wormer dosage for a 2 wk old puppy. If they are asking they obviously have not done it that much or at all.
