if I thought it to be dangerous for a 2 week old pup I wouldn't use it much less recommend it....but I am all about saving money...and a vet would go out of business if they were counting on me for business...there are times when I do need a vet but not very often...

make sure to worm the mama dog because she cleans up the puppy waste and the cycle wouldn't be broken unless the mama is wormed as well.
