What I was refering to is a dog being sold as won't touch a hog if its under 100 lbs , most everydog I've seen will not turn down a hog bcuz its under 100 I don't see how they get off sayin it ! What I'm getting at is people try to sell dogs like there beefin it up and sayin well you'll never catch a small pig cuz this dog won't look at nothing under 100
I agree with you a real hog dog is gonna bay whatever hog is around weather it 10-500lbs. But i will say this my old plott dog and a few others i have seen tend to single out the biggest hog in the group. But to say they wont catch a small hog is a jk and would either make them the best dog in the world or junk lol. But like most would agree in the dry hot summer anything in better than nothing
I agree for the most part but I will say this,I have a dog that will work a hog over and try anything 150 and under solo however, he will not catch or bay a piglet 10lbs or under. I have seen him run on 3solo ones and he chased them for 10ft then turned around....I think it was the trash breaking of varmits when he was younger. He will finish anything bigger
