I show my dogs some attention before they start.  I always liked it before competition when I would get a pep talk so why give your dogs one. 

Funny Story.

Last night my wife was feeding and my old dog was just laying in the shade not moving.  I asked if he was still alive.  She says " I think so he is breathing".  She says to him. ' Come here, Come here, Do you want some food, Come get some food". Nothing, he was not moving. Then finally she says " want to go get a hog" and boy did he jump up and run to her.   I think he knows what that world means.   Too hot to move EXCEPT when it comes to hogs.
