I don't think that you stated if he did this in a lot or on a real hunt....if it was on a hunt,......I wouldn't worry too much...he won't be here for long. 7 months old is mighty young to be on a woods hunt with grown dogs seems to me. Just my opinion, but he is still a pup, nowhere near old enough to tackle a grown hog in the wild.
no sir its not on a woods hunt its in a pen. Got him to back up and bay for about 5 minutes yesterday ha then straight catch.
But I have been switchin off takin him and my mtn cur pup to the woods
