Mine are in 5x10 kennels. I let them out to run and play etc. While I scoop out the poop. I feed extreme dog fuel so it usually hardened up. Instead of concrete I got the horse trailer mats from tractor supply and built the kennels over that. I think it was cheaper than concrete. It doesn't toughen up the foot pads like concrete and I also have to trim nails sometimes but it works for me for now. Also installed a mister system on a timer.
