It may have some to do with it but i have always had big cd never got cutt like him. My other one is just as big but never gets a scratch. and a small cd wouldnt work for me we only use one or two strike dogs. One is pretty rough and one wont touch a hog. So i need some a$$ behind him.
We have caught plenty of hogs with one catchdog around 50#.. Sometimes with dogs that help and probably more with dogs that dont...
They've taken a few beating, but always hold their own..
If hes getting cut more on his legs, you may look into a vest with leg flaps.. I know they have saved my catchdogs alot of cuts...
