I feel ya. We have had some bad hunts this year too. The other day we stopped to look at a hog crossing into a rice field and James dang near stepped right on top of a stump tail and never saw him. Justin Corbell was with us and he was right behind James and at first glance he said that he thought it was a cow patty and then he remembered that there aint no cows out there.
Dang that's crazy I will not hunt with out wearing my snake boots any more I have already seen way to many snakes about to weeks ago my hunting buddy stepped dead on a copperhead going to the bay and didn't even know till I almost stepped right on it and stepped back it was crazy! I have had 4 get bit this year luckily I have caught it during the hunt everytime so luckily I have not had to deal with it splitting the skin
