I do admit that our (only speaking of our dog) catahoula is short ranged. But he will find them and he will give a hog nine kinds of heck. We don't hunt him often thought because we like long range dogs.
1 thing i will say about ol rowdy, what he lacks in range he more than compensates for in grit and pure hatred for a hog!!! And he's built like no houla' ive ever seen before!
