If a dogs parents are good cow dogs more then likely the pups would make good cow dogs or hog dogs what ever you put then on. bmc were originally bred for herding cattle and hunting wild hogs. So it's just there instinct to bark at cows or hogs cause it's bred into them. The bmc pups I have raised were not hard to break off cows at all. I just had to holler at them get there attention.
