you have to wade thru a lot of bullchit to find a good line...most have a medium nose which is about right for hog hunting but size can be a problem and some can be too open on track...

I have a 10 month old pup right now...nice looking mtn cur, pretty leggy and will be a little larger than what I like and he will bark on track...

But this pup could be one of those that will lead the pack for hours and get bayed out of hearing...It will be cheaper to get a quick track or a wildlife tracker with one collar... one collar is all you need if the dogs pack up well. My favorite tracker is mns-10, looks just like the quick trac... there might be some better ones out there but these are the three I have used.

Ebay will have the used collars as well as the used receivers for a good price...I got an almost new unit for a little less than a third of what it would of cost me from the wildlife website...
but I miss my mn-10...very reliable and easy to use...I had mine for many years before I sold it...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
