I can't think of any cons other than a lot of studying etc. I don't know how old u are but if you're young enough to consider a career like veterinary medicine I say go for it. It was actually my second career choice behind plumbing and foolishly I chose the immediate paycheck over going to school for 4 more years. The pros are unlimited. LSU is one of the top vet schools in the country. Go for it!!
