no cons to raising them on the same yard at all, and yes one good dog is all it takes . i finally got my gyp a hunting partner when she was 2 years old after nearly loosing her to a river coon . you gotta watch them ol coons and young dogs in the water . the earlier you start them the better . ain't much differant than traing hog dogs do some drags and mock hunts when they are pups . i train my hog dogs just like i did my coon hounds just used a bay pen instead of a caged coon pulled up in a tree . just like curs as far as males and females males are a little more independant . outside of the blues and b& tans being more of a cold nosed dog they are fine most the walkers have a little hotter nose on em . hope you find you a good dog to start . it is a lot of fun , made alot of good memories following them damn hounds lol
