Find someone with another garmin unit and see if they can pick you collar up. I had the exact same problem when i first got mine and i had the other guy with me to add the collar to his unit and it picked up just fine and tracked the collar just fine so i called garmin and they said to sent the unit back in and they would give me another one. there was a malfunction with the unit
